Opening Friday: "Ellipses," works by Amelia Schroeder
Wichita newcomer Amelia Schroeder chooses bold colors and implied movement to characterize her body of works. Ellipses, both organic and cellular, show the essence of life and nature at its most basic level. The color represented in these pieces evoke childhood memories of discovering water, wind and trees. "Nature is the best piece of art I have ever seen," Schroeder said. "I am influenced and inspired by patterns, luminosity, colors and shadows of our planet."
